THE FIRST AUCTION
Last week Cybertown's first auction started off in the Cybertown club with a candelabra sold by teragirl to Frisky for 60 Cybertown city credits on Saturday evening. The highest count this reporter saw was 26, but people came and went. Most likely around 71 people total attended the auction. XX commented: "Wow, I didn't know it was that many, people came in and watched, I guess."
The second set of bids rose to 625 credits and no item was being offered! No item!..LOL..the second item actually offered was a carousel or Merry-go-round. Bidding was frantic. Angel_Night won with a bid of 2200. The rumor is no more carousels are to be offered in the mall.
The next item a pet Chihuahua doggy for 35 credits; Mastel bought it for 800 credits! The next item ~ a leopard couch ~ sold to Sulinar for 900 credits. Rage_Machine bought a black leather couch for 1000 credits. At this point the News Mag browser froze ...grrrrrr ...and a “host is unreachable” message came up...returning brought the following information: Vinnie35 bought a cat for 435 credits, XxAnD1DaWg007xX bought a cat for 3005 credits...was that a misprint? Laser11 bought a race car bed for 250 credits, Sulinar bought trained dog1 for 802, trained dog 2 sold for...1000. SweetLVR sold a dinette for 610 credits to Laser11, a pet pony by nightwonder started at 300 and sold for 640 to Mastel ending the official auction.
Due to demand..the auction continued as people auctioned off their own items. People were enthusiastic and had a pretty darn good time! This reporter did too.
