Obviously news videos are the future news processes of Cybertown, as several of our citizens work on improving what can be done.
CVN presents this to you for your enjoyment. We also present our review of the programs available as of this writing. We are encouraging all people to look into the streaming possibilities to assist quick viewing!
Most of our citizens seem to be fairly patient, but downloads tend to be a problem for many of our citizens with slow computers and dialup connections.
We are using the windows media download on an XP interface with a current connection time of 38.6 kbs according to our computer statistics. Downloads "should be identified" by approximate length of time as well as download size. Personally we like to see the file size so we know if we want to bother with the download!
This is a common worry for those of us with a dial up connection. Downloads often take a lot more time than stated. 1-4 minutes can easily become 20-40 minutes.
We started this download at 10:19 AM and concluded it as of...10:41 AM (The CCNN.avi download was identified as approximately 22 minutes, runs 1 minute 23 seconds and wighed in at about 8.66 megabytes or megs. It was fun. Short but interesting. We, on XP, were able to view it full screen, as well as the 637 x 473 size identified. Our particular likes were the using of avatars, some limited mouth synching to words and the oening screens.
