Cybertown City Council Appreciation Day: Speeches

[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Welcome to the City Council Appreciation ceremony, everyone! I am just moderating so that the presentations and speeches go quickly, so that we can move on to some other entertaining things : - )
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Cybertown has always been known as a very unique virtual chat site. It has revolutionalized interactivity on the Net, and is known for its ability to maintain a community in such a civilized manner. Ladies and Gentlemen, a dream such as this could not be possible without a fine governing body, and that body is Your Cybertown City Council.
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : With age, sex and racial diversities, our City Council is a perfect example of harmonious interchange, which has been the "Cybertown Promise" since its creation. This non-discriminating aspect truly shows how teamwork in an open-minded society is a truly successful means of maintaining a strong community structure.
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : A seat on the City Council is difficult to come by. This is because the position is not for everyone. These individuals donate countless hours of their time for a single purpose: to keep us happy and to launch Cybertown further to success. Some of these movements are obvious, some are subtle. With the upcoming subscription, its easy to see how they in cooperation with our Community Technicians are preparing us for a smooth transaction.
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : We can all easily see some of these aspects, and truly appreciate them. For that we gather today
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : I think that our City Council members deserve a pat on the back and a round of applause for their efforts in the past, at this time, and the efforts surely to come.

[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Karyll has been here in CT since August 1998 of course way before my time thats most probably why she has Templer and Wizard. She really is a wizard in what she does here in Inner realms and for Cybertown City Council.
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Karyll is a diplomat, a scholar and a friend not only to me but to everyone. A listener, a councellor and a guide she has moved us all in every way possible. Besides the LOOOONG list of achievements and jobs she holds not to mention all the groups she belongs to, there is some sanity as to why she is always in the middle of things here.
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : It is very simple karyll Loves to get all the gossip and just wants to know whats going on around her. She is Ophra Winfrey, Larry King, Jay Leno, Rupaul all rolled into one. So you can imagine the outcome and the fun we all have around Karyll.

[Colony Deputy] arkducky [23197] : Today marks the day that we honor our fellow City Council members and I have been given the privilege to say a few pages about Halogen!
[Colony Deputy] arkducky [23197] : I have been fortunate to know and work with Halogen for many years. He has exceptional leadership traits and puts forth a great amount of effort when taking on a task. Plus, he is forced to put up with me!
[Colony Deputy] arkducky [23197] : It is still debated to this day that he uses duck tape to keep me still and quiet.
[Colony Deputy] arkducky [23197] : He has spent countless hours and days in the building of Cybertown's newest colony, Hi-Tek.
[Colony Deputy] arkducky [23197] : I think we can all agree that it looks outstanding and one of a kind!
[Colony Deputy] arkducky [23197] : Cybertown, the wonderful colony Hi-Tek, and I are lucky to have Halogen as a citizen of such great magnitude. Join me in thanking Halogen for his great contribution and leadership he has given to Cybertown!

[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : First, let me tell you what aero REALLY is
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Quackus Killerius Evilius
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Evil Duck, a unique evil animal because of its ability to be at home on land, in water or in the air. This means that it has access to a lot more prey, and makes Evil Duck one of the most well fed evil animals out there.
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Evil Duck is also both an adept solitary hunter as well as working in packs. Often when walking alone at night you can hear its death wail as it swoops in on an innocent victim. "QUACK QUACK QUAAAACK". If you are very lucky, and not many are, you can hear the crunching sounds of bones and the cries of the victim. "QUACK QUACK QUAAAACK ARGHHHHH CRUNCH"
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Evil Duck is also a very intellegent animal. A favourite trick of Evil Duck is to 'quack' loudly in a bush somewhere, and when someone goes to investigate, it grabs the prey and waddles away to a safe place to devour it. You see, there is no safe place from Evil Duck, it can attack you when swimming, when jogging, or even when flying. Evil Ducks have been known to attack planes, with one or two of the pack crashing into the front and creating a diversion, while the rest of the pack slip in round the back and attack th
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Please note, if you are walking around on your own, and you see web-footprints in the ground all around you, RUN, RUN, RUN, the chances are that you are in a favourite hunting ground of the Duck.

[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Now, with this much said, it's easy to see how Aero is a pretty influencial person in the colony
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : He's a rescue personell in RL, but still manages to help poeple out in CT as he does in Real Life
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : I've known Aero as CL for quite some time, and can vouche that he does an excelent job -- despite the bite marks
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : webster wants to say something about aero now :-P

webster2000 : I have worked a longside aero for a few months now, nothign bad has come of it. He is a well amnnerd person, and is a great person to work with. He runs **His** very well and maintains the "Teens" Theme. Aero is not only a great CL, but a great Person.

[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : 'Gummi is truly a rare gem!
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : She has been in CT for over 4 years. She is very matter of fact and you always know where you stand with her, no backhandedness from this Gumdrop no way ! lol If you mess up she will let you know asap, if you are doing a good job she will also let you know. She makes no difference with friend or foe, she is fair, honest and I couldn't ask for a better CL.
[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Gummi's fav band is Mettalica, she loves her dog, she loves her friends , she is one of the most loyal people I have ever met and she treats her colony and all it's staff and residents with the utmost respect, allowing everyone to voice their opinions then takes all of them into consideration and makes a sound decision. In short she is the BEST!"

[Colony Deputy] Seth_11 [17620] : Sometimes reffered to the 'old person's staff of torture', from sources, this a device used to get whatever she wants!
