Attack of the Clones~Movie review
A Review!
Finally! I have been following this wonderful space opera since it first came out. Like many viewers, the new episodes just do not compare to the originals. lol, AND they shouldn't! Each new prequel stands on its own and serves as a marvelous checkmark on the ongoing improvement and use of computer graphics in the history of film.
What can say? I am a fan, have been, will be and so it is.
Over All: Satisfied, pleased and desperately awaiting the next episode :) Astonishing: The graphics, plotting, battles and computer use require many visits! I'm gonna get the DVD!
Needs work: The character development needs to lead the viewer a tad more by the nose for clarity! Movies like books are all about telling the story. Natalie Portman seemed the best in character development, Hayden Christensen physically reminds me seriously of my son Daniel! LOL Wonder if he can grab a part as double :) Satisfaction: I adored Christopher Lee (Count Drooku), Yoda, ( Don Bies ) the man behind R2D2 and C3PO-->(Anthony Daniels was a delight), the worlds, the historical revelations and the creation of the star troopers.
Irritated: minor complaints with some dialogue, that just didn't hit me as right. lol I think I have been reviewing too many films, A year ago I would not even have noticed the dialogue shifts. Either scripting or editing may where that problem hides. Another criticism I have is the critics hehe...As usual there is lots of nonsensical criticism that will not affect the viewer, on going criticism of LucasFilms, and complaints about acting and direction. * I just shake my head* We are seeing and celebrating movie history here, not to mention one fantastic yarn! Ewan McGregor irritated me because MY obi-one, *sniff-sniff* was...wise *wail. However wisdom does come through pain and screw-ups, so he is *sigh* psychologically, correct (hehe if not politically correct). The basic plot of Good versus Evil is eternal! Notes from Hobbs: My fair city is not a haven of Star Wars fans apparently. Although we did have a couple teachers and students who actually may have "taken the day off" to attend the movie. It has not sold out like Spiderman did here. My screening had less than 25 people watching, but most comments heard were positive. My wife says the worst thing is "waiting for episode 3." A friend's wife said none of the prequels come up to the quality of the original series. My son, also a loyal fan pointed out Boba Fett (Daniel Logan deserves kudos too) references I missed and generally celebrated the episode with rapture.
