Our big news continues to be: Our celebration time! The 75th anniversay issue is coming! And all citizens are invited to play! Checkout IF Cybertown Were Real . The reward is seeing yourself with a byline article in our fictional portrayal of Cybertown's future. Stories can be as short as 50 words, or as long as 10, 000. They just have to reflect our future scenario, created for our 75th issue of the Cybertown Weekly News. (issue date is May 23) ALL entries or at least enough of the entry like the first chapter or less, enough to use in that issue must be sent to CVN by 11:59 PM, Monday, May 12, of this year. After all we still have to create images, ads, screenshots, html etc. Unless of course YOU help us, by sending those kinds of items to us! All go to the address given here.( [email protected] ). Remember send it to us before May 13th!!! Yup, we extended that deadline a couple more days. We would really like to see brand new or even our old "long gone" authors get published in that special issue!
This week in CVN Weekly we have new writers who find themselves appearing in our features and on our editorial pages too. We hope you enjoy Cloud_Chaser and claycrouton
Of course we continue with features for writers at the Writing Zone. Rkgbiolgst38 continues her horror story, and there are losts of goodies here and there. The music page has been updated by NerdMan. The tech pages & game pages have some interesting sites and content to view. and inevitably and sadly several pages appear to be going into the recycle bin, from the lack of help.
Here at CVN we always have lots of new activities created by our writers and editorial staff and pages constantly in development. All the CVN Deputies agreed everyone in management should have their own page or section! As we continue this dynamic experiement in internet journalism, you can look forward to more and varied content, lots of activities and some neat contests from around the city.
Our focus is simple: fun, entertainment, good and reasonable content, and the improvement of writing. Our goal is to report the news in Cybertown that does not duplicate the Daily News or would be more appropriate for this magazine.
Job openings and possibilities remain wide open. Anyone who wants to play, learn, grow, and work is welcome. A request for a job, or application and two contributions to our news organization is the first step. When we publish your work in the Daily News or the Weekly News,You can send copies to your friends. Publication is required for Cybertown titles and virtual pay.(the only kind we can afford!)
