Issue 77 hits the cyber stands this week! This issue continues our long strand and "good" record of publishing weekly (every 6-8) days.
So read on and enjoy :) Be sure to come back next week or even more often this week! We love those clicks that show us progress in reaching our fellow citizens in Cybertown!
This week we have "The Top Stories" for you from 2001 and through April of 2002.My oh my we have lots of stories. CERB has begun a series of PSAs(Public Service Announcements) to help citizens understand the Citizen's Equity Review Board.We have a CVN brain storming session on creating contest ideas.Karyll and Jo had an "Appreciation Day" in Inner Realms, May 18th. We have our special issue Cybertown 2633 moved to resources. These now become writer resources, for short future events, and sci-fi fiction "that might happen" in the year 2633 and serve as a scenario for such futuristic stories. This week we actually have a brand new Cybertown in the future story by a new CVN writer there! Stories and links will continue to be added there, and will be featured here. There are also events for you in the colony/hood section, an XP article by AshKetchum is featured this week in Tech (*chomps on a 4 year old battered cigar*) Check out our game reviews We have lovely articles by MC_Alz and thepanther101. Teens appears to be gone again. Too bad, 22122 was doing a great job.
Sections come and go, too often here, unless there is either a unique individual or a dedicated team behind them. One individual makes a big difference. It takes very special people to stick with CVN over the long haul. Rkgbiolgst38 continues to provide us with lots of delectable, informative new goodies in the WritingZone and has a Father's Day editorial I wish I had written. She is cranking out writing and poetry in our poetry wars cvn email strand to beat, bury and conquer all our writers. Her goal of course is toshare and encourage others. I save copies of that strand and we have over 61 poems written by our writers.put together with Rkg's step by step instructions on ebooks, we wonder how long until CVN will be producing our first ebook? Rkg writes like a dream and is as prolific as Louis L'Amour was! I delight in our writers, the different personalities they have and that some just create to see what happens.Great peeps each and every one of our CVN staff, cub_reporter trainees and City contributors!! Movies has slid away again We have two simple html's for you from our returning JTazz, Welcome back! We hope to bring you more next week.
Here at CVN we have lots of new activities and pages developing. All the CVN Deputies agreed everyone in management should have their own page or section! As we continue this dynamic experiment in Internet journalism, We hope you look forward to more and varied content, lots of activities and neat contests from around the city.
Our focus is simple: fun, entertainment, good and reasonable content, and the improvement of writing. Our goal is to report the news in Cybertown that does not duplicate the Daily News or would be more appropriate for this magazine format.
Job openings and possibilities are, as always, wide open. Anyone who wants to play, learn, grow, and work is welcome. A request for a job, or application and two contributions to our news organization that we publish in the Daily News or the Weekly News are required for Cybertown titles and virtual pay.(the only kind we can afford!)
