EPLEX : THE NICKEL TOUR by Drawmk screen shots by SmoothSlayer
As you all know, the new ePlex (Entertainment Complex) is now open. I went there to make another tour and write about this amazing place.
When you first enter the ePlex you have to choose where you want to go. There is The Black Sun dance club, The vDrome, The Gallery, The Casino and The Arcade. I started my tour at The Black Sun.
The Black Sun
A fair warning, if you have slow connection, this place might take a bit to load up the first time. However long it takes, this place is worth the wait.
Live music (you'll have to get RealPlayer for that - there's a link to the download in the 3D club under the Jump Gate) in a great VRML world, lots of colors and animations. You can have a dancing avatar (there are now 11 to choose from) by clicking on the 'Dancing Avatars' button in the right hand frame.
I went upstairs and got a seat at Elroy's Great Tasting Burger. I heard they are going to sell some stuff there, but that's still to come. I got myself a dancing avatar and went to dance with all the other people that were there. This place is really nice and I liked the music! Then I entered to the elevator and continued my tour.
The Movies This vDrome is a great place, very large, and looks like a real movie hall! Global Media supports this place. I entered the Main Theater hall. Then I clicked on the screen to see the movie. Nice music, but you need a fast system. You can watch the movie and chat without siturbing the other movie goers. And soon a lot of famous people will be there soon so it worth to be there a lot! And I suspect picture quality will improve as feature films make they appearance.
The Gallery This place is nice with a lot of art work on the walls. When you click on a picture you get it full sized with information about it. The graphics are incredible! Check it out!
The Arcade I really liked this place. There are a lot of JAVA arcade games that you can choose from. I liked the "Bop a Mole" game. Upstairs there are even more JAVA arcade games in The Casino.
And don't forget the Bowling Alley!
The Casino At the Casino there are JAVA card games. This place is really cool. A lot of games to play. There is a roulette to play on and try the dog racing game. You choose a dog that you think that will win and press the start button. And there's the balling game ~ try your luck. My record is 4 points. Go and visit the ePlex ~ its worth the trip!
