Massive Web Space Coming to Cybertown by jdb_educator and MauveCat
Recently CVN was contacted about an awesome Cybertown city development with great potential for enhancing the overall communication within the city. The usability and flexibility has techCDs excited. The free space provided to the groups may well provide for better coordination and development of our 3D worlds.
Here are some of the details from our conversation with MC and two samples of what has recently been accomplished. (at the end of the article is ExaltedHosting's website):
The biggest thing in Cybertown of late is that Hawk has worked a deal with ExaltedHosting. Each colony, the TechCDs, and City Council got just under 4 gigs of web space. Image, music, AVs stored there work in CT.
This site provides cgi, perm module, ASP and a bunch of other scripting enabled It supports databases. And the big thing: it works like a virtual server and subdomains with their own passwords can be created. Right now colonies are making subdomains for each of their hoods. The TechCDs and City Council have a total of 8 gigs. Some sites and pages are online now.
MauveCat is a CD in Virtual Worlds and proceeded to offer us two samples of work accomplished in that colony where CL diversDestiny works closely with her CDs.
