The poem that gets the judges' hair to stand up wins. However you want to do it, it's your creation, but it has to be about Halloween. The Funniest Poem It's Halloween but you can be funny too. The poem that gets the judges laughing until they just can't take it anymore wins!
The poem with the most metaphors or similes
That's a difficult one. For those who don't know what metaphors are here's an explanation. For example: "The girl runs like a turtle." The word 'like' makes it a simile because these things have 2 things in common. "The man is a wild animal." The word 'is' makes it a metaphor. The man isn't actually a wild animal, but he obviously has something in common with one. The shortest poem This poem has to be the shortest poem but include the most feeling or information in a few lines. It has got to mean something. It has to be the most concise poem. This means that if you send in a really short poem but it doesn't mean anything, you don't win. The Longest Poem Like the shortest poem, this poem has to mean something. Plus, you can't just go on and on and on about something. Make it good to read.
The Short Story This doesn't have to be a poem. All you have to is send in a story about a Halloween which you think is very strange, funny, interesting, spooky, romantic, whatever. It's up to you ~ be creative. Space Age Poem
