Z: How is the progress of CybertownNG (Cybertown Next Generation) going?
H: It depends heavily on getting funded, which we're working on.
Z: Will we be seeing any immediate changes?
H: Not for a while. It's a big project.
Z: Will we be seeing any updates to the NG site any time soon?
H: We will be discussing this on Wednesday but I'd say yes.
Z: Did you ever imagine that Cybertown would be this successful?
H: Yes and no. We hoped it would and many of the things we predicted happened - and so did many things we didn't predict!
Z: What is one word that sums up what Cybertown means to you?
H: Affinity.
Z: Are there any changes that you feel are needed to take place in Cybertown?
H: Many. Mostly the things that NG addresses. The social aspects have had their ups and downs but seem to be improving. We have made a lot of changes recently in response to the unrest of late last year. In June the
hardworking Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be stepping down so that new blood can move up the ranks. In order to help prevent multiple-identity votes the ballot will be a postal ballot.
Z: People have really been talking about the TV station. Can you give us any details on that?
H: It's built and we're talking with potential partners about opening it and enabling TV shows to be pumped into people's homes via Entertainment Centers (currently being built).
Z: What are some of your future goals for Cybertown?
H: A lot more live entertainment in VR - specifically many live concerts, movie previews and premiers and of course a fully immersive environment that is eventually photo realistic (but very futuristic and fantasy-based)
and contains many perceptics so that when wearing a helmet (slim visor actually) you'll feel like you're really there. Virtual interplanetary vacations. Etc. etc. etc.
