Interview with Paden in the Suburb Aztec by Elliz for CVN 2 March 2088

Staring in front of me was a wall of an ancient warrior battling with the demons of his spirit. I could almost see the Aztec God reaching out from beyond the wall. I was astounded by its detail and I knew I had left this world and stepped back in time. I went back to a time when Aztecs were the center of a known civilization. I could almost feel the people of the past in their daily lives and rituals.

This was a place of great beauty. I walked around this world if it's rolling grass hills, and grand pyramids. I was amazed at its splendor.

I sought out the tallest pyramid and climbed to the top. I had to thank the maker of this world for giving Cybertown a place as wonderful as this. I wrote him a letter and was pleased he returned my note.

I would have a chance to meet him in person and give him a proper thank you. I found Paden a very charming and nice man and had a pleasant talk with him. I had so many questions and he was so patient and understanding.

I told him that I was pleased to find this place in the suburbs and that more people should come there and see it. Of course he agreed with me.

He was very happy to have the Aztec world there and told me of his New World. The Magnolia Ball Room. Wow! I could not wait to see more of his worlds. He told me he love making them and it came easy to him. This I could understand for it showed in his love for his work.

I was stunned when he told me that this was his first world and he had only been working on vrml for a few months. Was I impressed. I asked him what was the hardest thing he had to do when he was making Aztec world. He told me it was the lighting, it had to be just right. I asked. "Are you still looking forward to more projects ahead?" he replied gladly, "Yes. I enjoy VRML a lot, and will keep doing it as far as I can tell." This was great news and will look forward to seeing more of his work.

He was modest and told me, "I just started with a square box. I stretched it, and pulled on it, and it began to take shape. Then It started to become Aztec, and I started searching the web for images. That is how a lot of my objects come about. I just play with shapes till it looks like something. Then build it into that something." Well it sounded easy but I am sure it's not. He should take great pride in the worlds he creates. I really think Aztec world is a beautifully graphic place. I will return there time and time again. Thanks, Paden.
