Skippy does it again ! Ct_Friendly Cub-Reporter
Another stunning creation of Skippybrand's was unveiled in the plaza Thursday evening., not too long ago Surprising those of us fortunate to be present once again with his creative ingenuity, Skippybrand proves that the Spazz3D program is capable of handling even the most complex of avatars, his latest being a "Ferris Wheel".
Complete with a panel code of numbers where potential thrill seekers could click a number and immediately be whisked away to find themselves seated within one of the baskets
specially created to hold the passengers as they take their turns riding on the wheel.
Skippy told those present that we [Cybertown]were the 'beta" testing ground for his creations. Very few present in the plaza that evening could resist the "pull" of the wheel,
as one by one we took rides on the wheel.
A true entertainer in every sense of the word, Skippy unites the plaza in a way that few have ever really been able to achieve.
CVN immediately contacted Skippy and discovered the following:
CVN: Tell us about this Ferris wheel avatar/object, please! (beg, whine, plead)
Well, the avatar is really a bit big for CT, but sec. allows me a variance
as long as I keep it out of folks way and no one complains. It's a Victorian
style Ferris Wheel with 8 cars, 40 meters high. Users can click the button
at the base of the wheel, and they are beamed to the car of their choice.
The wheel turns continuously and users may stay as long as they like. Music is
provided in each car, and when the user wishes to leave, there is a exit
button that unbinds them from the wheel and beams them back to their
previous view point.
CVN: oooooooo Can we have the web address to look at this avatar/object, please! Please! Pretty please?
I would give you the addy, but it's a work in progress and most likely will be renamed by the time you get this. If you would like to see it for your self I'm not too hard to find, usually in the plaza or the beach. BTW, I'm now putting the finishing touches on a Flume Ride! (log run)
It works pretty good. A group of us are hoping to start a carnival world
in the Outer Worlds where folks can come and set up their rideable Avs. And
one of my avatars does magic tricks.... rabbit out the hat, and can even
make a volunteer avatar disappear right in front of your eyes! Oh, and did I
mention the Avatar Cannon? It loads you in the barrel and, "BOOM" you are shot out
about 20 meters to land softly via parachute!
He hee.. I'm terribly addicted!
I also have a full sized rideable blimp with a bar, music, and a bungee
jump! and another blimp with a chopper on board and a glider, and jet,
and........
CVN thanks go to both Ct_Friendly and Skippybrand for this fun story! We look forward to finding the Ferris Wheel in CT on one of those vacation days that too rarely come for CVN editors.
