By jdb_educator, Managing editor, CVN

jdb_educator has been looking at the subscription information and trying to sort out his own preferred options for paying and subscribing. For those who are still pondering that, here are those conclusions and recommendations! Then the information gathered for you:

jdb_educator's Recommendations:

Send the email indicating interest and willingness to subscribe to [email protected] and asking about the possibilities of payment, explaining how YOU want to pay if the options curreently available do not work for you. Pay Pal: it worked for our June donation, and for this payment/donation (We are lazy: meaning WE Love those credit cards) Snail Mail, insured and tracked..lol or not if too expensive for you. Wait for the additional ways to subscibe certain to be available by January 7th

The first step is to keep checking the RAQ site for updates: http://www.cybertown.com/RAQ.html

As of this writing, it has the following update history posted:

updated 11/29/02 - Q1e) and Q's 46-50 and 12/3/02 - Q's 51-55 and 12/9/02 - Q's 56-59 as well as changes to reflect the non-deletion of houses and 12/15/02 and 12/16/02 and 12/17/02 to add the Sponsorship Application Form URL (Q15) and update Q1) and add the early sign-up URL (Q17) and 12/19/02 to add step-by-step payment instructions to Q17) and 12/21/02 to add Q17a) about what if there isn't a payment system you can use.

Also, there is a new survey now up at

http://www.cybertown.com/subsurvey/

Vialle, CVN publisher, has informed all citizens through the Daily News that this RAQ site is now updated almost daily!

Here are the options we see available: Pay/registration options- reminder:

Credit card or bank account through PayPal

Snail Mail

Gift Certificates from friends or relatives. Sponsorships ARE also available based on need: http://www.cybertown.com/sponsorshipapp/

Cash (not recommended) or other ideas: Send an email to [email protected] and ASK about possibilities.

If you need step-by-step instructions for how to pay, using pay pal, read this:

http://www.cybertown.com/howtosubscribe.html

First subscribe from inside Cybertown to have the best security by using links you trust from sources you trust. And, if necessary, verify the addresses and sources! We recommend clicking on the CT banner or using the Daily News links. Lol That is where we gathered this information we are presenting here! We do not recommend sending cash until the IVN/Cybertown site recommends that. Send an email to [email protected]

THEN, IF you are going to send actual cash money, the site knows it is coming and agrees to it, we encourage spending the extra money to track the payment and even insuring for the amount. Recognizing this isn't always possible, and that some people will or are likely to send cash anyway, we encourage ASKING at the email posted above FIRST!!

Simioni has posted the following below on the politics feedback board: For those of you intending to join but not clear on the best method to use. You should start with sending the suggested email and explaining your situation. Hopefully that will lead you to the best option available while protecting your access rights. We reproduce that post below:

Subject: Regarding Payment Problems - IVN

From IVN:

"We will check with our bankers and work out some method of accepting payment for these

individuals. In the meantime, assure them that anyone indicating a true desire to pay via e-mail

but who is unable to for such reasons will be allowed access until we have a system in place to

accommodate them."

The email address to use is [email protected]
